Let's Kinect, Let's Play

The XBOX One Kinect is the core of its interactive technology.  Without Kinect, the XBOX One would not have the interactivity that it makes is such a great system.  It is easy understand why it comes standard with the system.   It had to be completely re-engineered to take advantage of its interactive technology which is the essence of the XBOX One.



 Microsoft says , "We’ve completely re-engineered Kinect to take full advantage of all that Xbox One can do. It’s more precise. More responsive. More intuitive. Its unparalleled voice, vision, and motion technology lets you reach into games and entertainment like never before."

When Microsoft introduced Kinect with its XBOX 360.  We did not know what to expect.  I was not that excited about motion technology.  Sony had been working with this technology with its PS3 and Nintendo made great strides and based its whole system around it.   XBOX made a revolutionary breakthrough with this technology.  Families could play and compete together like never before.  I was invited to a friends house to play during the holidays and I was hooked.  With XBOX One,  this technology is exponentially improved and it will revolutionize gaming and entertainment as we know it. 

•  Unparalleled Voice 

The designers thought about real world use.   It is designed to focuses on the sounds that matter to its processing and your gaming experience.   Usually when Kinect is involved the room could be full of people and excitement.  It has an all-new multi-microphone array.  This is candy for the engineers to ponder.   Its advanced noise isolation lets Kinect know what sounds to listen to in a crowded room.  Around the holidays , the house can be noisy.  This is what makes the experience great.  If you enjoyed the XBOX 360 Kinect you will enjoy this more.

 Interaction is the key.  Microsoft says "Voice launch will be a great And, for the first time, you can use your voice to launch any Xbox One experience from anywhere in the system, so you can quickly move from one thing to another. " Remember those days, of choosing the video input.  HDMI one, two, three and four.   Thank you Microsoft for taking away that unpleasant experience from me.  

Microsoft says " Xbox One can automatically sign in when you enter the room.  Accelerate through a game with subtle gestures. Or navigate through your favorite TV shows with the sound of your voice. It’s an entirely new Kinect for a new generation of entertainment."    Many of the cable and satellite companies may imitate this voice technology.  The future will tell the whole story

• Unparalleled Vision  

 In the military, night vision technology is very expensive and guarded. You would be amazed how much you could see in pitch black darkness.   If you wanted to watch TV in a dark room how would this technology interact with your hand gestures in low light?  Microsoft understood this and added and all new IR camera to enable it to see you in the dark.  Remember when you had to stand right in front of the the TV.  Microsoft expanded its field of view also for a greater line of sight.   No more worrying about your position.  It can tell if you are standing off balance.  This is very interesting technology and Microsoft XBOX One engineers have really done their homework.   

• Unparallelled Motion Technology

With the XBOX 360 there was a noticeable improvement in motion technology.  XBOX One has exponentially improved this with  its Kinect Real Motion technology that tracks even the slightest gestures.   Imagine,  just the squeeze of your hand can control a game or an application.  This leaves the gates open for almost unlimited possibilities with upcoming games and features in the future.  

It looks like the Microsoft XBOX One team put some real though into the creation of  the XBOX One system.  There may be more to come with new upgrades and upcoming games and apps.   The sky is the limit!
